About the Chronicles

FFXII Replay Chronicles is a short, tongue-in-the-cheek Final Fantasy XII fan comic by Auraboo (that's me!) that ran on my Tumblr between 2018 -2020. It is centred around my various adventures and misventures while replaying the game, which regularly puts the main cast of the game through many, many, many trials.

The entirety of the comic was drawn with fineliner pens in one and the same sketchpad. It started out as something I think of as a "sketchbook comic", and it retained the same rough and rather simplistic style throughout the series.

Content warnings: cartoon blood, swearing, bad drawings, copious amounts of Balthier/Vaan shipping. The usual.

Auraboo is a Finnish illustrator, comic artist and author who has an unending love of all things fantasy. When I'm not drawing or writing, I'm either reading, sipping some tea, taking a dip in the lake, or hyperfocusing on yet another story that's taken over my brainspace.

Why FFXII, you ask? Well, it's my favourite FF game of all time, and I just love the world of Ivalice - it's my favourite out of all FF worlds, hands down.
